Shindig! magazine feature

JF is featured in an extensive 8-page interview in the latest issue of Britain's music mag "Shindig!" issue 25, sporting the Bee Gee's on the cover. Here's a sneak peak:

"Have you heard the one about the handsome fella from The Three O'Clock, Jellyfish and The Grays who's enjoyed an ongoing 15 year solo career, played guitar for Macca, trod the stage with Air, Aimee Mann, Beck and Brendan Benson (amongst others) and achieved the status of legend in Japan? No? JASON FALKNER explains to CHRIS TWOMEY how having played in bands on the cusp of rock stardom, being dropped from a major label and releasing albums on tiny indie labels has made him "frustrated, but not discouraged."

Glen Campbell sessions

JF took to the studio to help create what Glen Campbell has said will be his final album, "Ghost on the Canvas." Also featuring the talents of Billy Corgan, Brian Setzer, Rick Nielsen, Jason Falkner, Marty Rifkin, Steve Hunter, and Tim Pierce, the album was largely written by Campbell with producer-collaborator Julian Raymond, complemented by contributions from Jakob Dylan, Paul Westerberg, Teddy Thompson and Robert Pollard, with evocative instrumental interludes composed by Roger Manning as musical illustration. :: glencampbellmusic.com ::

* Jason is asking his American fans to kindly wait until the domestic release of the album and sends this message to all his wonderful U.S. fans: "Hello all! Some of you might have heard about my new record coming out in Japan last week. They always seem to be slightly ahead of us don't they.... I'm hoping the patience you've had to possess being a fan of my output will carry forward to the present and you can wait a few months to get it when it's released here in the states! The reason I'm urging this is that if I'm ever going to be able to do a tour of the states, and UK/Europe for that matter, I'm going to be needing record sales here and not on import so the expense of touring can be covered. Know what i mean? SO...pretty please help the cause by waiting to buy this until gets proper release outside of Japan. XO jf"
